Want to spruce up your light table without spending money? All you need are some old silk scarves. I found some at my favorite resale store.
They are great to drape over a light table. Choose sheer and transparent fabrics that allow some light to go through the scarf. It is ideal to have colored dimmed light go through; this gives an inviting and cozy feeling. Try a few different options to see how they affect the lighting and the mood.
Word of caution: I wouldn’t leave the scarf unattended just to be on the safe side. If the fabric starts getting warm to the touch, remove it from the light table.
Love the way that the scarves create a different type of setting for the activities. It reminds me that creating an "aesthetically pleasing" environment is vitally important to learning. Thanks, Maria!
